Burnside Academy

It is with great pride that I welcome you to our thriving academy. Burnside Academy is a small school and that allows our teachers to get to know each child so well. This means we can adapt our teaching skilfully to meet the needs of each pupil - and that is what makes our school so special!

Our aim is that when every child leaves us at the end of Year 6, they will be confident, responsible members of society with all the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. We achieve this by showing our children how to develop the highest possible aspirations for themselves. We structure our curriculum to be highly ambitious, but also accessible and inclusive, especially for disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND. At Burnside Academy, we have a strong culture of keeping children safe and putting them at the heart of the school community. The personal development and welfare of all children are of paramount importance, both in school and out of it.
