Nursery Admissions
Nursery places within the academy are allocated in accordance with the academies admission criteria. Please note that admission to our nursery does not guarantee your child will be admitted to the reception class for their primary education.
The academy takes children from the age of three. Parents can register their interest for a nursery place with the academy by completing an application form when their child is two years old.
To register your child for a nursery place, please visit the academy reception (please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate).
Reception Admissions
Reception places within the academy are allocated in accordance with the academies admission criteria.
The Local Authority administer the admissions process on behalf of the academy.
When you apply for a place online, you will receive an email confirmation to confirm receipt of your application.
If you do not have internet access, you can visit any of the Local Authorities Customer Service points or alternatively, you can request a paper application by calling 0191 520 5553.
In Year Admissions
From time to time, parents may wish to transfer their child to the academy from another school. To arrange a visit to the academy, please contact the academy office directly.
To apply for a transfer, you must collect a transfer form from your child’s current school. The completed form should be handed in to your child’s current school office who will then forward the relevant paperwork to Sunderland City Council’s Admissions Service to process.
